One of the most popular hill stations in south India, The word munnar means three rivers, the place is situated at confluence of three rivers- Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. The visitor is greeted with miles of unending tea plantations on way to Munnar. Munnar hills are famous for the Neelakurinji –it is magnificent too see Munnar hills adorned with flowers of Neelakkurinji. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India - Anamudi - which towers over 2695 Mts and is an ideal spot for trekking. The ‘kurinji season’ in Munnar is a magnificent sight when the hills and valleys get bathed in the blue of the Neelakurinji blooms.
